The Project: Pick up fishing line group has made 52 visits to Mather Lake within 18 months and has never left empty-handed.

This small lake in Sacramento County has seen plenty of wildlife suffering and dying due to fishing lines and lures. This is where the group's founder started her journey when she was out photographing the wildlife and got tangled herself. She frequently went to pick up fishing line at Mather Lake.

About a year later, the group formed.
